Is the French event still going to run, or have the cultural/linguistic/legal probs proved too much?

For this year they have proved too much - we will try again for next year

Out of interest what were the sticking points?

By Rog on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 - 10:01 pm:

The main difficulty was getting someone in the region to continue with the negociation for the facilities required. Part of that difficulty appeared to be from the person charged with encouraging cyclibg in the area!. I will say no more.

If anyone has contacts in France (or Spain), speaks the lingo and would be interested in help organise an event....let me know.

Same problem as Sheffield then.

Check your marshals records. Alberto, the studentwho marshaled the overnight with us at Chelmorton, will probably be back in Spain by now - and I think he had links with some kind of adventure school over there. I remember checking out the website at the time.
