Does anyone know which map the Summer 04 event will be using?
Iain,
Hi
Are the maps for the summer Polaris going to be Pre-marked?
woops
So that'll be a "no" to PMM's, then.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
can anybody out there tell me when the entry list will be up dated, bloody sick of ringing Polaris and getting told by monday which was 3 weeks ago!
Does anyone know the cut off date for pre-entries for the summer event to ensure getting the pmms posted? Wouldn't want Mutley getting cross!!
I think it was on one of the other threads, can't remember if it was 2 or 3 weeks B4 event?
Dick go to the thread Spring 2004,gives back ground to cut off date etc, hope that helps yer!
I don't know were the my last posting went (posted it 10 min ago) But to answer myself: I am thick and I have now noticed the info on the summer polaris below the pitures of the spring event
Cut off date for entries to recieve your map with final details is 11th June 04 (that is the date we should recieve it by not the date you send it by!).
For goodness sake, when will the entries be updated?? Surely this can't be considered good enough!!!!
Can anyone give me rough idea as where the start is likely to be?
Hi
No doubt the old edition will be fine, only additions seem to be the High Peak Trail & Tissington trails, and no doubt these will both be Oout of Bounds is last time's Summer Peak event is anything to go by.

I enquired before I completed my entry form - it's the same as 2 years ago - 119, Buxton & Matlock, etc. My kids took my copy and have drawn on lots of interesting new topographical features - all in water soluble ink, I hope.....
BUT....I've just this minute checked the OS website and the NEW EDITION was published on Tuesday this week (04/05), thus replacing the one issued during the last Peak District PC (the OS say it's a reprint with corrections, presumably the number of contour lines to the start in 2002). GrahamL or anyone else out there - will you be issuing the very latest edition? If so I might just purchase a new one after all.

Yes we will be using map 119 and if you order a map from us we will be purchasing the latest edition and then arranging for them to be laminated.
These will be sent out with the final details so that you can mark up your controls in advance after they have been published on the website.
If you enter late you will have to pick up your map at registration or buy your own.

My previous posting was pretty clear but let me reiterate :-
WE WILL SEND OUT THE MAPS WITH THE FINAL DETAILS SO THAT YOU CAN MARK UP THE CONTROLS IN ADVANCE AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PUBLISHED ON THE WEBSITE!

Do you know if any of the updates on the new 119 map have an impact on the the summer event or will I be able to get away with my old edition?
Cheers
David
